    Hi Simon,

Many thanks for sending me that PDF. What a treat!
So much better than a Haynes.

Unfortunately there is a gap in the file between 524 and 551.
If it makes any difference mine is a 1976 ’96L’

I have removed the back section of the seat and undone everything in site!

Your time and trouble is appreciated.
    Regards,
    John.

    Hi Simon,
    Thanks for your note.
    Short answer is no.
I have removed the rear seat upright and lain horizontally to approach that way. All to no avail.

It would help if I knew what was underneath.

    Thanks again,
    Regards,
    John.

    Hi Ian,
I have just bought a 1976 ’96 and had the head gasket blow. Prior to that I did a compression test and was reading compression very similar to yours, the engine has done 54,000.
My thoughts would be not to worry if it’s not using gallons of water or vast amounts of oil!
    Enjoy your motoring.
    Regards,
    John
